For tropical botanicals, Laurel connects directly with trusted growers overseas, maintaining open communication throughout the season.

Once harvested, the raw plant materials arrive at the Laurel Barn—where the real magic begins. Every ingredient is personally inspected for freshness, aroma, color, and vitality. Laurel and her team are trained to detect even the subtlest signs of quality or compromise. A single whiff can reveal the year of harvest, how the plant was stored, or if it’s been tampered with. Color is also key—these vibrant, rich hues signal that the antioxidants and healing compounds are still active and potent. Unlike the clear, over-processed extracts found in most commercial skincare, these plants retain their full spectrum of nourishment.
